- Translation of news, reports, scripts and contents from Pashto and Dari to English language
- Provide accurate translations, transcriptions, and summaries of foreign language text, audio and video material into English, Pashto/Dari
- Apply a translation methodology to translate a wide variety of complex texts that contain difficult, abstract, idiomatic, highly technical, and colloquial writing
- Ensure high quality and accuracy in editing of all texts
- Editing contains literature, spelling, grammar and all kinds of corrections
- Using command of language and English Language at advance and academic level
- Ensure accuracy in translation of technical terminologies, especially Islamic, Political, Economic and Foreigner terms
- Edit and translate research and other scripts from Pashto and Dari to English and vice versa
- Ensure all Pashto and Dari contents published on the website or other platforms of OMID Radio are translated into English language
- Ensure timely and professional delivery of translated and edited materials from Pashto and Dari into English language
- Communicate fluently in English orally and in writing
- Translate in accordance with designated style and quality standards
- Search for updated news publish by international media channels
- Work closely with the content creator and social media team to maintain a consistent posting flow
- Knowledge of conducting interview with guests when needed
- University Graduate (Literature/ Journalism faculty)
- Have Computer knowledge, and proficiency with MS. Office Package
- Understand the key components of translation
- Ability to quickly translate the texts from national languages into English language
- Flexibility in working extra hours to meet the deadline
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail
- Extracting text from audio and video and vice versa
- Ability to analyze summaries and translate discussions
- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking Pashto, Dari and English,
- Ability to produce multiple pieces of content/news quickly and consistently
