Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that customers receive excellent services by providing quick and accurate information and processing the requests as efficient as possible.
  • Receive and count working cash at beginning of shift with proper denomination.
  • Teller is responsible to satisfied Customer’s from nature of the transaction and cash before leaving the counter.
  • Identify customers, validate and cash checks during conduct of transactions.
  • Accept cash for deposit and check accuracy of deposit slip.
  • Record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with Bank Policies and Procedures.
  • Balance cash drawer throughout the day with final balancing at end of day and cash scroll.
  • Receive cash from head teller while needed and send cash to head teller while surplus, physically and on system.
  • Make sure to secure the cabin while in / out and dealt with customers according to Bank Policies.
  • Banknotes received on validity.
  • Responsible to keep counter door and safe lock while leaving the counter.
  • Prevent unauthorized person to enter the counter.
  • Has knowledge of Bank rules, procedure and regulation specially LCTR (Large Cash Transaction Report) STR (Suspicious Transaction Report) and occasional transaction.
  • Regularly check and monitor the cash position and ensure that physical cash is tallying with the system at any point of time during the bank’s working hours.
  • Write particular clearly.
  • Prevent user and password sharing with others.
  • Checking of Operational Equipment for daily Operation, Mobile and other electronic items are not allowed to use in cabin.
  • Ensure strict control over selecting the right customers account for cash deposit and withdrawal.
  • Resolve issues and problems with customer accounts at the level of cash activities.
  • Explain advice and promote bank products and services to customers.
  • Understand, adopt and adhere to bank policies, procedures, instruction and guideline.
  • Responsible and Report any Shortage in Cash immediately on Spot to line Manager.
  • Be cautious while process Cheque from all aspects and make sure that the Cheque issued by customer is unpaid.
  • Assist with Head Teller of the branch in daily branch activities.
  • Punctuality. (Follow official working time schedule properly).
  • Behave in a professional way with all the colleagues and customers of the branch.
  • Confidentiality of customer account and personal information.
  • Ensure all the policies of BMA have implemented.
  • Complete and comprehensive knowledge of BMA products, services.
  • Any other task, duty assigned by line manager.

qualification

  • Excellent communication & Writing skills (Pashto, Dari, English)
  • Proficiency in Computer Programs (Fast Typing, Ms. Word, Ms. Excel….)
  • Excellent customer behavior, customer satisfaction, & customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent cash management skills
  • Must have Bachelors Degree in BBA, Finance & Banking or Economics
  • At least have one years related Experience
