✅ Prepare and submit accurate tax filings (including corporate taxes, VAT, and employee-related taxes).
✅ Ensure timely payment and clearance of taxes to government agencies.
✅ Maintain proper records of all tax-related documents and clearances.
✅ Liaise with the Ministry of Finance and other tax authorities regarding audits, assessments, and queries.
✅ Stay updated on changes in Afghan tax laws and regulations that impact the company.
✅ Provide reports and updates to senior management regarding tax status and risks.
✅ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional certification in tax or finance (preferred).
✅ Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in tax compliance, tax clearance, or related financial roles.
- Familiarity with Afghan tax laws, processes, and dealings with the Ministry of Finance.
✅ Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of Afghan tax codes, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Ability to prepare, review, and file various tax forms and reports accurately.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
- Fluency in Dari or Pashto; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
