· Perform detailed topographic, boundary, and gradient surveys for substation sites, access roads, and transmission line corridors.
· Prepare accurate site maps, coordinate grids, and layout drawings for equipment foundations, trenches, and earthing systems.
· Verify benchmarks, coordinates, and elevations for all civil and electrical installations.
· Coordinate with engineers to ensure proper implementation of design layouts on-site.
· Assist in preparing as-built drawings, survey reports, and progress documentation.
· Monitor and record survey data, ensuring compliance with design tolerances and specifications.
· Ensure calibration and proper functioning of surveying instruments.
· Support quality assurance by verifying civil works such as foundations, trenches, transformer pads, and equipment platforms.
· Conduct site inspections and provide survey verification before contractor billing and work progress claims.
· Maintain proper documentation and backup of all survey data for project handover.
· Experience: Minimum of 6 years in surveying, preferably in substations, transmission lines, or large-scale power infrastructure projects.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or Surveying Technology.
· Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and Drone Surveying (preferred).
· Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and project scheduling/design software.
· Knowledge Areas:
· Familiarity with substation layouts, equipment foundations, trench routing, and earthing grid verification.
· Understanding of construction methods, HSE practices, and site risk management.
· Language: Fluency in Dari or Pashto, with working knowledge of English.
