- Conduct detailed topographic and boundary surveys for the solar plant site, access roads, control buildings, and transmission lines using Total Station, GPS, and Level.
- Prepare accurate site maps, coordinate grids, and layout drawings for solar array placement, foundations, and cable trenches.
- Verify benchmarks, coordinates, and elevations for all structural and electrical installations, ensuring alignment with approved design drawings.
- Coordinate with civil and electrical engineers to ensure correct implementation of layout and design plans on site.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings, survey reports, and progress documentation for each construction phase.
- Monitor and record all survey data, maintaining consistency with design tolerances and technical specifications.
- Ensure calibration and proper functioning of all surveying instruments and tools.
- Support quality assurance and verification of civil works such as foundations, trenches, inverter pads, and equipment platforms.
- Conduct routine site inspections and provide survey verification before contractor billing and work progress claims.
- Maintain proper documentation and backup of all survey data, ensuring accuracy and traceability for project handover.
1) Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in surveying, preferably in solar power plants, substations, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
2) Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geomatics, or Surveying Technology (master’s degree preferred).
3) Technical Skills:
o Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of surveying principles and geospatial data management.
o Proficient in Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and Drone Surveying (preferred).
o Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and project scheduling or design software.
4) Knowledge Areas:
o Familiar with solar plant layout, module alignment, trench and cable routing, foundation setting, and earthing layout verification.
o Good understanding of construction methods, HSE practices, and site risk management.
5) Language: Fluency in Dari or Pashto, with working knowledge of English.
6) Nationality: Must be an Afghan national (male, as per current field requirements).
