Site Assessment & Mapping
- Conduct topographic and geodetic surveys to determine the most suitable route for transmission lines.
- Use GPS, total stations, and other advanced surveying equipment to collect accurate terrain data.
Route Planning
- Evaluate environmental, geological, and land-use factors to optimize transmission line alignment.
- Identify potential obstacles such as rivers, hills, buildings, and protected areas.
Data Collection & Analysis
- Compile and analyze survey data to produce maps, profiles, and cross-sections.
- Ensure data accuracy for use in engineering designs and construction planning.
Site activities
- Layout and excavation.
- leveling and stub setting.
- check the erection and Sagging.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites..
- Establish fixed points for use in making topographical maps.
- Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, maps, records and documents related to surveys.
- Following Line manager instructions and working with project/office team.
- Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land feature.
- Any other job-related tasks that shall be assigned by the competent by the competent authority
- The qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Geodesy and Geomatic, master's degree preferred.
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma in geodesy.
- Proven work experience in Transition Line and Substation project (IT IS A MUST REQUIREMENT).
- Proven working experience in site surveying.
- Working knowledge of computer programs and latest surveying tools and techniques such as theodolites and total station (RTK, GPS, Drone).
- Proficient in using of surveying tools and software: Total Station, GPS, leveling instruments, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
