· Review and interpret project scope, technical specifications, drawings, and related documents for substation and associated transmission line works.
· Conduct pre-construction meetings and ensure readiness before starting each new phase of work.
· Prepare, implement, and maintain the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan in compliance with client and project requirements.
· Lead all site-based quality control functions, including inspections, testing, and documentation of construction activities.
· Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements to verify compliance with technical specifications.
· Assign, supervise, and mentor QC engineers to ensure consistent quality monitoring across all project zones.
· Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for each definable feature of work and maintain detailed QC records.
· Identify, document, and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions.
· Supervise and monitor all construction works to ensure conformity with approved design drawings an standards.
· Coordinate closely with subcontractors to verify that all works are performed in accordance with project requirements and safety regulations.
· Ensure all materials received at the site are inspected, approved, properly stored, and used as per approved submittals.
· Support the construction team in resolving technical issues and maintaining consistent work quality throughout the project.
· Plan and coordinate all site testing and commissioning activities with project client and relevant parties.
· Ensure that all test results and inspection reports are properly documented and submitted to the main office.
· Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports, highlighting progress, issues, and compliance status.
· Chair and document weekly QC and coordination meetings with client representatives and project site staff.
· Compile and submit project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and warranty certificates.
· Liaise regularly with the Project Manager, QA/QC Department, and client representatives regarding project progress and quality matters.
· B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; Master’s degree is highly perforable.
· Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Project Quality Control Management, Site project Management.
· Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques
· Training Certificates in QCM.
· Attendees must be fluent in the English language (able to read and write) at the high school level.
· Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry (Timberline, RMS/QCS, and other typical construction formats
· Ability to speak clearly and exercise good judgment
· Ability to work under pressure.
