- Efficient Control of Materials, Tools, and Equipment: Monitor and manage all materials, tools, equipment, and subcontractor activities at site to ensure proper usage, reduce wastage, and maintain accountability.
- Material Estimation and Reporting: Review and estimate material requirements in advance based on upcoming activities and share accurate forecasts with the Office Project Manager to avoid delays.
- Progress Monitoring and Schedule Compliance: Continuously check, compare, and align site progress with the overall project schedule, taking corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Ensure Quality and Safety Compliance: Oversee on-site work to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and technical specifications.
- Problem Solving at Site: Identify potential site challenges early and implement corrective measures to avoid delays and rework.
- Coordinate Inspections and Approvals: Arrange and support inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants, utility authorities, and quality teams.
- Maintain Site Documentation: Prepare daily progress reports, site diaries, material consumption reports, and ensure all relevant documents are updated and accurate.
- Support Testing and Commissioning Activities: Assist technical teams during testing, energization, and commissioning stages to ensure successful completion.
- Maintain Site Discipline and Productivity: Ensure all site staff follow company policies, safety rules, and maintain professional behavior throughout execution.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
- Certifications: Candidates with PMP, OSHA, or similar certificates are preferred.
Experience:
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in site supervision of electrical distribution networks, and substation projects.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of LV/MV/HV electrical distribution networks, overhead lines, and substation construction.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, SLDs, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Practical experience in installation of transformers, switchgear, panels, poles, conductors, insulators, and cable systems.
- Knowledge of electrical testing, commissioning procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, quality control, and material inspection.
- Ability to supervise multi-discipline site teams and ensure proper work sequencing.
- Basic knowledge of project scheduling and ability to coordinate according to work plans.
- Competence in preparing site records, progress reports, and material tracking.
