- Make sure the construction works of Shelters, WASH (WSN), and other community infrastructure are following the technical specification, Shelter/WASH guideline, and drawing conditions.
- Monitor, including checking the construction materials and ensure that the quality of materials meets the project requirements.
- Conduct daily field inspections and monitoring work in progress and ensure the work meets the requirements of the plans and specifications and good work practice standards.
- Be able to stay in and travel at the project site and where it’s necessary in connection to project activities.
- Assist the field engineer in preparing beneficiary agreements with beneficiaries for the construction of shelters, WASH and DRR.
- Follow standard procedure for the construction of shelter, WASH and DRR.
- Assist the shelter engineer in ensuring that RHs receive the cash for constructing their own shelter based on the progress percentage.
- Ensure safety measures are in place at the construction sites.
- Assist the field engineer in ensuring that activities are planned successfully according to relevant quality standards and work in close collaboration with NFI cluster and WASH cluster.
- Performing any other duties as job required or assigned by the Field engineer and Sr. project officer.

Job Requirements
Education:
- Graduated from a technical institute or prepared BSC-Civil Engineering, structure engineering and other engineering-relevant departments.
- Knowledge of Shelter, WASH, DRR and construction project.
- MS Office, Auto CAD and Kobo.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of safety and security measures.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a construction project
- Preference will be given to local recruitment.
Key Personal Qualities (Bullet Points)
- Having good communication skills, can effectively communicate with local communities.
- Can work in Stressed environment and can meet deadlines.
- Have time management skills.
Desirable:
- Relevant experience of working with humanitarian/development sector/INGOs
