- Helping Students Succeed: Carefully tracking student progress, providing helpful feedback, and conducting practice tests to build their confidence.
- Preparing Lessons: Creating clear and helpful lesson plans, exercises, and teaching materials that meet the needs of your students.
- Being a Mentor: Guiding students, answering their questions, and giving them tips and strategies to pass their exams.
- Working Together: Collaborating with other teachers and the academic manager to share ideas and maintain our high teaching standards.
- Managing the Classroom: Ensuring your classroom is a positive, respectful, and encouraging place for all students to learn.
2. What We Are Looking For (Your Qualifications)
We have divided the requirements into two simple lists: what you must have to apply, and what would be a nice bonus.
Must-Have Requirements:
Education: A university degree (Bachelor's is required). It could be in English, Education, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience teaching English. You must have specific experience teaching and preparing students for the IELTS or TOEFL iBT exams.
Language Skills: Excellent English speaking and writing skills. You should be able to explain complex grammar and vocabulary in a simple way.
Personal Qualities:
- A friendly and patient personality.
- A real passion for teaching and seeing your students succeed.
- Punctuality, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus Qualifications):
- A Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Having TOEFL iBT score (110 points) or IELTS (7.5 bands) bands. Experience teaching other exams like TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Duolingo or Language Cert.
- Experience in creating teaching materials or mentoring other teachers.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom (like projectors, interactive software, etc.).
