Tasks and responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and capture insights from the field
- Demonstrable leadership experience
- Coach and support stakeholders and team members with problem-solving
- Use data and other information for analysis and decision-making purposes
- Plan and develop strategies
- Construct and structure documents for stakeholders, including stocktakes
- Design and implement new systems, in addition to improving existing systems
- Identify issues and learn the root causes
- Give recommendations constructing multiple scenarios, and advise where necessary
- Develop excellent relationships and work with officials and partners
- Plan and run meetings with senior stakeholders
- Guide and mentor Associates, and monitor their progress
- Assess international evidence and learn lessons about pragmatic solutions
We are looking for:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in management or strategy consulting
- Previous experience in the public sector
- A proven track record of working in Afghanistan
- Excellent English and Dari or Pashto
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- The strong drive and motivation to help citizens
- A willingness to travel and relocate within Afghanistan (Our consultants are based in Kabul, travelling to various provinces 50% of the time)
