1. Strategic Planning & Market Development
· Design and implement national marketing and sales strategies tailored to Afghanistan’s unique market dynamics for our beverage products.
· Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
· Develop annual business plans, forecasts, and budgets for the beverage category.
· Lead product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans for new and existing products.
2. Team Leadership & Development
· Recruit, train, and manage regional sales and marketing teams across Afghanistan.
· Set clear performance goals, KPIs, and incentive structures to drive accountability and motivation.
· Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
· Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to build leadership capacity within the team.
3. Sales Strategy & Execution
· Oversee execution of sales plans across retail, wholesale, and institutional channels.
· Manage key accounts, distributors, HORICA, and trade partners to ensure optimal coverage and service.
· Monitor sales performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
· Drive revenue growth through territory expansion, channel diversification, and promotional campaigns.
4. Marketing & Brand Building
· Lead brand development initiatives, including advertising, digital marketing, and experiential campaigns.
· Plan and execute ATL (Above the Line) and BTL (Below the Line) activities to boost brand visibility and consumer engagement.
· Collaborate with creative agencies, media partners, and influencers to amplify brand messaging.
· Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all touchpoints.
5. Distribution & Supply Chain Coordination
· Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
· Optimize direct & Indirect distribution networks and inventory management to reduce costs and improve service levels.
· Monitor stock levels, demand forecasts, and replenishment cycles.
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance
· Liaise with internal departments (finance, operations, HR) to align cross-functional objectives.
· Build strong relationships with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.
· Ensure compliance with local laws, advertising standards, and health regulations.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
· 7–10 years of experience in FMCG/beverage industry, with at least 3 years in a strategic leadership role.
· Proven success in managing nationwide teams and delivering commercial results.
· Strong understanding of Afghan consumer behavior, retail landscape, and cultural nuances.
· Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
· Fluency in English and local languages (Dari/Pashto) preferred.
