1. Conduct continuous inspections of project sites to ensure a hazard-free and safe working environment.
2. Assess and prepare comprehensive safety plans/manuals for all site operations.
3. Conduct Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) and specific safety requirements (e.g., PPE, fall protection, electrical safety, etc).
4. Conduct Toolbox Talks at the start of each week and during pre-job briefings to the site teams.
5. Verify tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
6. Promote and enforce safe working practices among all site personnel.
7. Organize and conduct drills and exercises to prepare teams for emergency situations.
8. Investigate and document all workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
9. Address and respond promptly to safety concerns raised by skilled workers and drivers.
10. Arrange OSHA-mandated evaluations and audits of the worksite.
11. Coordinate all matters related to hazardous materials management and waste disposal.
12. Assist in the preparation and implementation of construction health and safety plans.
13. Participate in project planning meetings and collaborate closely with Site and Quality Control Managers.
14. Establish and maintain effective health and safety communication systems across teams.
15. Test and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response plans.
16. Tracking ESPM Matrix and preparing Environmental, Social, Health and Safety (ESHS) monthly Report and update all safety-related reports, records, and documentation regularly.
17. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
18. Manage and control all health and safety activities at the project site efficiently.
19. Identify potential physical and chemical hazards and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
20. Research and apply industry best practices to enhance safety performance and compliance.
21. Stay updated on new laws, regulations, and safety standards applicable to site operations.
22. Develop and implement safety objectives, plans, and standards in a timely and effective manner.
- Mandatory Certification: Minimum 30-hour OSHA certification or equivalent recognized safety qualification.
- Bachelor degree in relevant field, master degree will be preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Safety Officer, preferably with private sectors or NGOs.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
- Training & Skills: Additional safety training or certification from a recognized institute, with excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Professional Competence: Proficient in English and MS Office, physically fit for site inspections, and able to work collaboratively with site and client safety teams.
