The Reservoir Engineer will:
- Perform reservoir characterization and simulation to estimate recoverable reserves.
- Evaluate well performance and production data to optimize recovery strategies.
- Work with geoscientists and petroleum engineers to prepare field development plans.
- Conduct material balance, decline curve, and volumetric analyses.
- Recommend reservoir management techniques such as secondary recovery or gas injection.
- Advise on drilling and workover plans based on reservoir behavior.
- Prepare technical reports for senior management and the Ministry.
- Mentor and train national engineers in reservoir engineering methods and tools.
Compensation and Allowances:
- The salary, allowances, and other employment benefits for this international technical position are negotiable and will be determined based on the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and prevailing international standards. Meantime, Applicants are encouraged to indicate their expected compensation package in their application documents. Final terms will be discussed and mutually agreed upon during the interview and selection process.
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in reservoir engineering within oil and gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of reservoir modeling software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, tNavigator, or equivalent).
- Proven track record in reserves estimation and reservoir management.
- Experience with gas field development is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Dari or Pashto is an advantage.
