Star Pay & Digital Financial Services (Core Focus)
- Actively promote, expand, and manage Star Pay services across the assigned region as a primary responsibility.
- Drive regional growth for e-Top Up services, direct telecom shops, and digital distribution channels.
- Support and expand mobile financial services and payment platforms, including but not limited to:
- M-Hawala, ATOMA Pay, M-Paisa, My Money, and other approved digital payment and money transfer services.
- Lead merchant acquisition initiatives, including onboarding, activation, training, and retention of Star Pay and related service merchants.
- Develop and execute mass market strategies to increase customer adoption and usage of Star Pay and allied services.
- Ensure proper coordination with operations and technical teams to resolve merchant and customer issues efficiently.
Sales & Relationship Management
- Support the Line Manager/Supervisor in day-to-day commercial and sales activities, and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Manage and grow existing sales accounts, merchants, partners, and institutional relationships.
- Identify, pursue, and onboard new business opportunities through direct sales, marketing activities, field visits, and referrals.
- Serve as the primary regional contact for assigned merchants, agents, accounts, and partners.
- Build and maintain strong executive and operational relationships with customers, telecom partners, aggregators, and merchants.
- Follow up consistently on leads, referrals, and prospective partners to convert opportunities into active business.
Market Development & Intelligence
- Explore and understand complex customer and partner requirements, both from a business and technical perspective.
- Stay current with sales, marketing, fintech, and digital payments trends in the local and regional market.
- Collect, analyze, and share market intelligence, competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer feedback with the Commercial and Management teams.
- Build and maintain extensive professional and business networks to support sales growth and volume generation.
Planning, Targets & Performance
- Develop and implement regional sales and commercial plans aligned with Star Pay targets and overall company objectives.
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, merchant acquisition, and activation targets on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, merchant onboarding, and follow-up actions.
- Support reporting requirements as requested by the Line Manager or Commercial leadership.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform any other job-related tasks or responsibilities deemed necessary by the Line Manager or Management in support of business needs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of progressive experience in sales/commercial roles, with regional responsibility.
