The Recovery Supervisor is responsible for:
- Ensure the recovery of legacy loans.
- Monitor clients and late payments in arrears.
- Maintain effective contact with debtors who default on their agreed payment plan.
- Apply debt collection procedures to unpaid installments.
- Maintain close contact with customers when necessary and feasible.
- Achieve given recovery targets.
- Negotiate a new schedule in case of actual difficulty of the client found.
- Liaise closely with the Recovery Manager/ BM to report on progress and to discuss particularly difficult debt situations.
- Negotiate, set up, and monitor repayment arrangements in accordance with delegations and procedures.
- Check the field receipt book of the Recovery Officer for the repayment received from the default borrowers in the field "Not allowed to take the money without the official receipts book".
- Develop a positive working relationship with the Team, clients, and assigned tasks by the leader.
- Ensure recovering unpaid installments is in accordance with the Mutahid
Knowledge & Education:
- Desirable: bachelor degree is required at minimum in Business, law, Finance or Economics with 2-4 years or work experience in Banking and Microfinance at managerial position.
Job Skills:
- Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills,
- High level of customer service and strong willingness to work in the field,
- Strong business management and negotiation skills,
- Experience managing and motivating a large staff,
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and training skills,
- Fluency in regional/local language, working knowledge of English,
Exposure:
- 2-4 years plus experience minimum in banking or microfinance as dealing with operation and at least 2 years experience in management and staff supervision.
