1. Operate imaging equipment: Learn and practice to Use X-ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging machines to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs, bones, tissues, and other structures.
2. Prepare patients: Learn and practice to explain procedures to patients, position them properly for imaging, and ensure their comfort and safety during the process.
3. Ensure proper image quality: Assist to adjust settings on the imaging equipment to capture high-quality images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
4. Maintain patient records: Learn and practice to record patient information, medical histories, and imaging results, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health regulations.
5. Follow safety protocols: Adhere to radiation safety procedures and ensure patients and staff are protected from unnecessary exposure.
6. Assist radiologists: Provide the images to radiologists for interpretation and assist in any other ways as needed.
7. Equipment maintenance: Ensure that imaging equipment is functioning properly, perform basic maintenance, and report any issues to the relevant staff for repairs.
• Minimum of a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field. (Male: graduate of 2024, female: graduate of 2021 and onwards)
• Basics of operating radiology equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Fluency in Dari and Pashto; basic English is an advantage.
