Quantity Estimation & Technical Analysis
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for all project work items based on drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Review and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify items and quantities.
- Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs) according to project requirements.
- Ensure consistency between design documents and site conditions.
Site Assessment & Field Work
- Conduct site visits to verify actual measurements, progress, and executed quantities.
- Coordinate with site engineers to check work quality, compliance, and material usage.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and on-site conditions and report them immediately.
- Support the site team in technical matters whenever required.
Cost Estimation & Market Coordination
- Prepare cost estimates considering Afghanistan’s market prices and economic conditions.
- Coordinate with procurement and market suppliers to get updated rates for materials and labor.
- Assist in preparing budgets, tender documents, and bid evaluations.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain updated estimation files, calculation sheets, drawing logs, and material take-off sheets.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for estimation updates and site verification findings.
- Ensure all estimation work complies with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Verify quantities claimed by contractors through proper documentation and measurement.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (required).
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of site and quantity estimation experience in Afghanistan.
- Strong background in reading drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity estimation software.
- Strong understanding of design documents, BoQs, and construction methods.
- Ability to perform accurate measurement calculations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- High level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
