Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Implement the project’s QA/QC plan and ensure compliance with contract specifications, design drawings, and international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
  • Review and verify all electrical materials, equipment, and installation procedures prior to execution.
  • Conduct inspections for all electrical works, including PV module installation, string connections, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA panels.
  • Ensure that all activities are executed per approved method statements (ITPs), inspection checklists, and QA procedures.

2. Inspection and Testing

  • Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to verify compliance with approved procedures.
  • Witness and record field tests such as insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, grounding, and functional testing of PV and grid systems.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection test records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.

3. Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC progress and inspection reports.
  • Develop and update inspection request (IR), material inspection request (MIR), and checklists for all site activities.
  • Maintain traceable documentation of material deliveries, calibration certificates, test results, and as-built records.
  • Support the preparation of as-built drawings, handover documents, and final QA/QC dossiers for client submission.

4. Coordination and Site Supervision

  • Work closely with site engineers, contractors, and the project team to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Conduct pre-installation meetings and quality briefings with field technicians and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with the Client’s QA/QC representatives for joint inspections and approvals.
  • Ensure all inspection hold points and witness points are implemented as per the approved ITP.

5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

  • Ensure all quality activities are performed in compliance with HSE policies.

Participate in toolbox meetings and always enforce safe work practices.

qualification

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university (master’s preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in QA/QC or site engineering roles within solar, power or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical testing, inspection procedures, and commissioning of solar or substation systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of PV module installation, inverter configuration, grounding, cabling, transformers, and protection systems.
  • Familiar with quality control standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ASTM, ISO 9001).
  • Skilled in preparing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and QA documentation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QA/QC data management tools.

Languages:

  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto (required).
  • Working knowledge of English (preferred).

Other Requirements:

  • Must be an Afghan national.
  • Willing to travel and reside at project sites as required.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
