- Provide technical support to the WHE Team, specific on psychosocial activities across the 7 regions of Afghanistan.
- Coordinate and provide technical support with the implementing partners under BPHS and EPHS for continuity of quality provision of psychosocial. This involves coordination with the MOPH and partners NGOs.
- Provide regular updates with the WHE Team in meetings, including identification of updated achievements, gaps and recommendations
- Identify and plan capacity building needs to help improve the quality of care to non-specialized psychosocial services.
- Coordinate with the Health Cluster about its updates and gaps to ensure advocacy among HC members and the donors.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with IPs with MHPSS component and liaise with focal points on Child Protection for a more coordinated approach.
- Coordinate and if necessary, facilitate the relevant psychosocial training activities under WHE, WHO Afghanistan, and using Training Needs Assessment Tools to identify, and prioritize the most important trainings needed by psychosocial service - providers across regions.
- Provide logistical and technical support to the trainings and report on completion.
- Provide monthly written reports about the works that he/she has done and followed up, including what was achieved and gaps/constraints.
- Support in getting information about psychosocial activities, and achievements (psychosocial support activities) including updates for monthly morbidities on mental health from implementing partners, and ensure that IPs are reporting at regular HIS, 4Ws and HeRAMS.
- Provide regular weekly updates to the WHE Team
- Provide support and commitment for additional responsibilities/tasks as requested by supervisors.

Education (Qualifications):
Educations:
Essential: First level university degree is required in medicine/MD or Bachelor in field of Psychology and Counselling.
Desirable: Master’s degree in psychology
Experience:
Essential:
· At least 2 years of experience on psychosocial in humanitarian and emergency settings in Afghanistan
· At least 1 year’ experience working with international organizations in the area of training and education on psychosocial Program in the country.
· Have at least 2 years of work experience on psychosocial in relation to the BPHS and EPHS of the Ministry of Public Health
· Working experience with recognized international NGOs
Desirable: Working experience with WHO/ UN or international nongovernmental organization
Languages: Fluency of spoken and written English and local language.
