- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address beneficiaries' emotional, psychological, and interpersonal concerns.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and trauma-informed care.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans and goals to address their specific needs and mental health issues.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, strengths, and areas of need.
- Utilize assessment tools, interviews, and observation to gather relevant information and formulate accurate PSS counselling, when appropriate.
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessment and evaluation.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute psychological distress or emotional crises.
- Assess risk factors for self-harm or harm to others and implement safety plans to mitigate potential risks.
- Coordinate with available emergency response services and other mental health professionals as necessary to ensure timely and appropriate crisis response.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and self-care practices to promote resilience and recovery.
- Offer emotional support, validation, and empathy to clients as they navigate challenges and transitions in their lives.
- Conduct open awareness-raising session in the PSS center following the monthly statistic form.
- Refer clients to other available health facilities/authorities or organization for further assistance, when necessary, in line with the available local referral pathways.
- Facilitate support groups (Volunteers) and psychoeducational sessions and dialogues to promote peer support and skill-building.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment notes, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards for confidentiality and privacy in counseling practice.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required for internal record-keeping, funding agencies, or regulatory bodies.
- Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly report of clients and keep the clients’ records on track.
- Bachelor's degree or minimum and at least one years’ professional course in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Licensure or certification as a professional counselor, psychotherapist, or clinical social worker (where applicable).
- Experience in providing counseling or psychotherapy services to individuals across the lifespan, preferably in a clinical or community mental health setting.
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity in working with clients experiencing emotional distress or trauma.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice.
