duties

•            Oversee daily hospital operations including clinical services, pharmacy, emergency care, laboratories, IPD/OPD, and diagnostic services.

•       Ensure availability of medicines, supplies, and functioning medical equipment.

•       Coordinate with all departments to optimize resource use and patient flow.

•       Supervise and support hospital staff, including hiring, orientation, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.

•       Ensure appropriate staffing levels, rotations, and duty schedules.

•       Coordinate staff training, development plans, and adherence to HR policies.

•       Implement and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) practices.

•       Ensure adherence to national clinical guidelines and treatment protocols.

•       Lead quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.

•       Handle patient feedback and complaints in a responsive manner.

•       Develop and manage hospital budgets in coordination with finance teams.

•       Monitor hospital expenditures, resource utilization, and financial reporting.

•       Ensure proper documentation, procurement, and use of supplies and equipment.

•       Monitor hospital performance indicators (e.g., bed occupancy, mortality rates, case load).

•       Ensure accurate and timely data reporting to national HMIS systems and donors.

•       Use data for decision-making and to improve service delivery.

•       Represent the hospital in provincial/regional coordination meetings and liaise with the Ministry of Public Health, local authorities, and NGOs.

•       Collaborate with partners for referral systems, training, technical support, and emergency response.

•       Ensure compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.

•       Ensure the hospital has emergency and disaster preparedness plans.

•       Lead the hospital response to disease outbreaks and health emergencies.

Ensure safety and security protocols for patients, staff, and assets.

qualification

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health (or a related field).
Perfect knowledge of MoPH policies.
Ability to manage a high workload.
Good interpersonal skills, motivation for teamwork.
Good IT skills, comfortable with Word/Excel/Access.
5 years’ experience in management of health programs with masters’ degree.
10 years’ experience in management of health program with bachelors’ degree.
