Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospect and Donor Engagement:
· Continuously research and identify new grant opportunities from a diverse range of national, and international funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors, fostering trust and partnership.
· Proactively communicate with donors, responding to their inquiries, updating them on project progress, and ensuring a high level of donor satisfaction.
Collaborate with the program teams to understand their funding needs and align grant opportunities accordingly.
2. Proposal Development and Submission:
· Manage the full lifecycle of grant proposal development, from initial research and planning to writing, budgeting, and submission.
· Craft compelling, well-researched, and tailored proposals that effectively communicate TSEDSO's mission, impact, and the specific needs to be addressed.
· Ensure proposals adhere to the guidelines and requirements of each funding source, including formatting, content, and deadlines.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including program staff, finance, and subject matter experts, to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of proposals.
· Monitor the status of submitted proposals and provide updates to the leadership team.
3. Grant Management and Reporting:
· Oversee the implementation of awarded grants, collaborating with program managers to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of each grant.
· Prepare and submit timely progress reports, financial reports, and other required documentation to funding sources.
· Maintain detailed records and documentation related to grant activities, outcomes, and expenditures.
· Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the grant implementation process.
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred
· Minimum 5-8 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or proposal development, preferably in the nonprofit or social sector
· Proven track record of successfully securing grants and other forms of funding from diverse sources
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling proposals
· Strong research, analytical, and budget development skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and grant management software
· Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and manage multiple priorities
· Skilled in presentation, problem-solving, strategic planning, and process improvement
· Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto
