Project Site Manager

duties

  • Overall management of substation construction works from mobilization to handover
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and labor teams at the site.
  • Develop, update, and monitor project schedules, work progress, and resource allocation plans.
  • Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, design specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and verify civil, electrical installations and mechanical ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE standards.
  • Conduct daily and weekly coordination meetings to track progress and resolve technical or logistical challenges.
  • Review and approve work progress reports, inspection requests, and site documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with project management, consultants, and clients to ensure transparency and timely updates.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure corrective measures are implemented for any non-conformance.
  • Prepare and submit project progress, financial, and technical reports to project manager.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement among all site personnel.


qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 7–10 years of overall professional experience, including at least 2–3 years of relevant experience in similar projects.
  • Strong knowledge of substation civil works, equipment installation, cabling, and earthing systems
  • Proven experience managing projects from start to full completion
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and site execution for power projects
  • Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools (AutoCAD, and Primavera is more preferred)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute detailed electrical and civil drawings
  • Strong leadership skills with effective on-site decision-making ability
  • Excellent coordination and contractor management skills
  • High attention to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and schedule management
  • Clear communication with consultants, suppliers, utilities, and stakeholders
  • Practical, solution-oriented, and results-driven mindset
  • Fluency in Dari or Pashto, with strong working knowledge of English.
