Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule covering design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Utilize Primavera P6 or MS Project software for schedule creation, monitoring, and updating.
- Coordinate with all project departments (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and QA/QC) to collect progress data and update schedules accordingly.
- Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting critical activities, variances, and potential risks.
- Conduct Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and identify schedule impacts and mitigation measures.
- Work closely with the Project Control and Cost Control teams to align schedule updates with financial and progress reports.
- Support the Project Manager in resource allocation planning and forecasting.
- Participate in project progress meetings and present schedule status and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate records of baseline, revised, and as-built schedules.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, milestones, and client reporting requirements.
- Recommend recovery or acceleration plans where delays are detected.
Deliverables
- Approved Baseline Schedule in Primavera/MS Project format.
- Monthly Progress Schedule updates with variance analysis.
- Critical Path and Milestone Reports.
- Forecast Completion Reports and schedule impact assessments.
Final As-Built Schedule upon project completion.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management.
- Primavera (P6) certificate scheduling is essential.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in project scheduling within power transmission line or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project software.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction sequencing.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Dari and Pashto is an asset.
