1. Project Manager
The Project Manager will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of ARCI’s community-based projects. This role requires strategic planning, coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders, and strong oversight to ensure the timely and quality delivery of program goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Supervise and mentor project staff across different locations.
- Ensure timely and quality implementation of project activities in line with organizational goals and donor expectations.
- Maintain effective communication with government authorities, donors, and local partners.
- Lead the preparation of progress, monitoring, and financial reports.
- Identify risks and ensure compliance with ARCI and donor regulations.
- Support the development of new proposals and fundraising efforts.
- Manage project execution and provide timely reporting on all plateforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in managing multi-sectoral development or humanitarian projects.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Strong skills in planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Fluency in English, Dari, and/or Pashto.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
🔹 2. Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating the daily operations of projects, ensuring smooth implementation and strong coordination between the field and the central office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager and program Manager in project planning, tracking, and implementation.
- Ensure timely execution of project activities in coordination with field teams.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, logistics, and admin departments.
- Coordinate field visits, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Monitor the quality of services delivered and report challenges or risks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to donor reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination or field operations.
- Good understanding of community-based development approaches.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and local languages.
🔹 3. District Team Leader
The District Team Leader will be responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day field-level implementation of project activities, ensuring close coordination with community stakeholders and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee field teams, including community mobilizers, Food/Cash assistance activities and guide implementation at the district level.
- Site preparation arrangments, resource managment, coridnation with relevant stakeholders, and provide timely reporting on all plateforms
- Represent ARCI in coordination meetings with community leaders and local government.
- Ensure accurate data collection, beneficiary verification, and activity reporting.
- Monitor progress against targets and escalate challenges or risks.
- Uphold ARCI’s safeguarding, gender inclusion, and quality standards in all activities.
- Support community engagement and feedback mechanisms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field (education, agriculture, social work preferred).
- At least 2–3 years of field-level experience in WFP emergency projects or humanitarian projects.
- Strong local knowledge of the targeted district(s) and fluency in local languages.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with diverse teams and maintain positive relations with beneficiaries.
Job Requirement:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, in English and local languages (Pashto, Dari).
- Proven experience in budget management, resource mobilization, and donor compliance.
- Familiarity with the socio-economic and cultural context of Eastern Afghanistan, particularly Kunar, Laghman.
- Relevant experience of WFP Food distribution projects

· Fluent in spoken English, and must have good report writing skills
· Min 5 years’ relevant experience in the implementation of WFP Food Distribution Projects
