Project Planning & Management
- Lead the development and updating of project work plans, implementation strategies, and timelines.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and efficient use of financial, human, and material resources.
- Supervise project teams to ensure tasks are carried out in accordance with organizational and donor standards.
- Identify risks and challenges and develop mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
Implementation & Supervision
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of project activities at national and field levels.
- Ensure that project interventions are aligned with organizational objectives and donor requirements.
- Provide technical and managerial support to field teams and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure gender-sensitive, inclusive, and participatory approaches are integrated into all project activities.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Monitor project progress against objectives, work plans, and performance indicators.
- Ensure timely collection, analysis, and reporting of project data in collaboration with M&E teams.
- Prepare high-quality progress reports, case studies, and donor reports in line with reporting schedules.
- Facilitate mid-term reviews, evaluations, and learning sessions to ensure continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Donor Coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with government authorities, community leaders, donors, and implementing partners.
- Represent the organization and the project in coordination forums, stakeholder meetings, and donor engagements.
- Ensure effective communication, information sharing, and collaboration across all levels of the project.
- Advocate for project goals and ensure alignment with national development strategies and donor priorities.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to project staff to build their technical and managerial capacity.
- Facilitate teamwork, staff motivation, and performance management in line with HR policies.
- Identify training needs and support professional development of project team members.
- Promote accountability, transparency, and a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor regulations, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Oversee financial management, procurement, and logistics to ensure accountability and efficiency.
- Identify, assess, and manage operational risks that could affect the success of the project.
- Ensure safeguarding, anti-fraud, and anti-corruption measures are implemented effectively.
Other Duties
- Support emergency responses or new initiatives as required by the organization.
- Ensure that lessons learned are documented and shared for future project improvements.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management to support organizational objectives.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
- Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English.
