Scope of work: The incumbent will undertake the following tasks in order to ensure the success of the project:
1. Provide overall coordination support to the ABADEI Programme Management Unit (PMU-A) to ensure the effective coordination of programme activities.
2. Provide support to the ABADEI programme in monitoring Risk and GRM/SES, as well as supporting its implementation, knowledge sharing, monitoring, and reporting.
3. Undertake any other duties as required.
Collaborate closely with the ABADEI Programme Manager, other team members, implementing partners, and working groups within the Programme Manegement Unit (PMU-A) to ensure the effective coordination of programme activities.
• Organise and participate in regular meetings with the ABADEI Programme Analyst, team members, implementing partners, and working groups to discuss programme activities.
• Facilitate effective communication channels to ensure timely updates and information sharing among all stakeholders related to working group management.
• Liaise with implementing partners and key stakeholders to understand their needs, priorities, and challenges related to programme coordination on behalf of the PMU with guidance from the programme analyst.
• Collaborate with the ABADEI Programme Analyst to develop detailed activity plans and schedules, considering input from partners and working groups.
• Assist in organising national/regional meetings, missions, training workshops, and other capacity development events for the PMU.
• Participate in regional meetings and other management meetings to ensure consistent processes and mutual learning.
• Maintain comprehensive records of programme coordination efforts, including meeting minutes, action items, and progress reports.
• Assist the programme analyst in developing, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and other reporting of the ABADEI programme, including the donor reporting.
• Prepare regular reports on programme coordination activities for ABADEI senior management review.
• Work alongside the ABADEI Programme Analyst to analyse data related to programme activities and outcomes.
Provide support to the ABADEI programme in monitoring Risk and GRM/SES, as well as supporting its implementation, knowledge sharing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the SES/GRM/Risk Specialist to identify and manage risks associated with the programme.
• Contribute to identifying and assessing coordination-related risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, mitigation measures, and GRM/SES-related documentation for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Update the risk log and implement mitigation measures as needed.
• Ensure that all coordination activities adhere to project compliance requirements and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the Risk and GRM/SES support officers of the implementing partners (IPs) to identify and address compliance issues as they arise during programme activities.
• Act as a liaison between the IPs' risk and GRM/SES teams and UNDP's SES Specialist to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution and share feedback and updates on compliance matters with UNDP's SES Specialist regularly.
• Support in all the necessary logistical, contractual, and recruitment-related tasks to ensure the timely implementation of UNDP ABADEI-related compliance work.
• Provide implementing support and carry out any other tasks or responsibilities related to programme coordination as directed by the ABADEI Programme Analyst or SES/GRM specialist.
Institutional arrangement: Under the overall guidance of the ABADEI Programme Manager/Deputy Programme Manager and the direct supervision of the SES/GRM/Risk Specialist and ABADEI Programme Analyst, the ABADEI PMU Coordination and Quality Assurance Support Officer will undertake assigned functions to ensure that the key results are reflected in the project reporting requirements, ensuring the smooth running and implementation of the ABADEI compliance programme, and overseeing Risk monitoring, GRM, and SES implementation.

Duration of the assignment: 3 months (01 October 2023 to 31 December 2024)

Experience and Skills:
• A minimum 3-7 years of experience in relevant field with bachelors degres is required. Also, having master degres with same years of experience will be considered an advantage. The relevant field of experience includes Social/ Political Science, Law, Public Administration, Development Studies, Management, or any other related field. This experience should encompass capacity development, programme coordination (including planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting), and risk monitoring.
• Applicants should possess relevant skills in project/programme coordination, including reporting and monitoring. Additionally, they should have proven experience in coordinating and managing working groups and partners.
• A minimum of three years of experience working with NGOs, INGOs, and UN organisations is required. Previous experience with the UN, particularly with UNDP, will be considered an advantage.
• Candidates must demonstrate extensive experience in coordination and monitoring. Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and the internet is also required.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in written and spoken English and fluency in the national languages (Dari / Pashto).
