- Assist in dispensing prescribed medications accurately
- Provide basic medication counseling to patients (dosage)
- Verify prescriptions for completeness and legality
- Assist to maintain proper storage of medications (temperature control, segregation)
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
- Prepare compounded medications under supervision
- Follow MoPH protocols for controlled substances
- Maintain proper documentation of dispensed medications
- Report adverse drug reactions
- Participate in ward rounds (if hospital-based)
- Assist in preparing IV medications and TPN solutions
- Check for drug interactions using available resources
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university.
Experience:
- Fresh graduate with no experience.
kills:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations
- Basic computer skills for pharmacy software
- Fluency in Dari/Pashto; medical English required
The duty station of the intern will be the host entity (Elaj Saboori Curative Hospital ) and the salary will be paid by Islamic Relief Worldwide- Afghanistan (IRW- A) based on agreement.
