Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop, update, and manage project implementation plans, schedules, and timelines in alignment with company expectations.
- Coordinate daily activities between office staff, field engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all project activities follow technical, contractual, and regulatory standards for power and electrical distribution networks.
- Organize and participate in internal office meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Stakeholder, Donor, and Government Coordination
- Attend and actively participate in donor meetings, presenting progress updates, challenges, and work plans.
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships with government entities, including Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW), and local authorities.
- Represent the company in high-level meetings and ensure compliance with government guidelines for projects implemented inside Afghanistan.
- Facilitate effective communication between the company, donors, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
Technical Oversight
- Possess familiarity with power distribution systems, electrical networks, transmission lines, transformers, and related technical components.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure technical specifications and quality standards are met during project implementation.
- Monitor technical deliverables, review designs and report, and ensure corrective actions where required.
Project Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
- Track progress against project schedules, budgets, and outputs, ensuring the project remains within the defined timeframe and scope.
- Identify risks, delays, technical issues, or bottlenecks and propose practical, data-driven solutions.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports for management, donors, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain proper documentation of all project records, correspondence, contracts, and technical files.
Budget and Contract Management
- Assist in preparing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability.
- Support procurement processes, contract award procedures, and contractor performance evaluations.
- Ensure efficient and transparent use of project resources in compliance with company and donor policies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or electrical engineering from a recognized institution (Master is preferred).
Experience:
- 5–8 years of proven experience in managing electrical distribution, power infrastructure, or substation projects.
- Strong background in reading drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
Technical Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in LV/MV/HV electrical distribution systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, and cable networks.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, manage site works, ensure quality and safety compliance, and coordinate construction activities.
- Knowledge of project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera (preferred)
