- Learn and practice to conduct initial assessments and triage of patients.
- Assist with bathing, feeding, and mobilizing patients.
- Learn and practice to monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration) and report abnormalities.
- Help with patient hygiene, wound care, and basic medical procedures.
- Assist nurses and doctors in examinations, treatments, and emergency procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments under supervision.
- Monitor critically ill patients and assist with life-support equipment.
- Document patient conditions and report changes immediately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and charts.
- Follow infection control protocols and hospital safety guidelines.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in patient care.
- Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare staff.
Education:
- Graduated from a recognized university or medical institute between 2021 and 2025 with a diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Fresh graduate with no experience
Skills:
Basic knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Capable of standing for long hours and lifting patients when needed.
- Proficiency in Dari/Pashto; basic English is a plus.
- Interest in learning
The duty station of the intern will be the host entity (Kunar Modern Hospital) and the salary will be paid by Islamic Relief Worldwide- Afghanistan (IRW- A) based on agreement.
