Network Security Monitoring: Monitoring the company's network for any unusual or suspicious activities, intrusions, or security breaches. This involves using various security tools and technologies to detect and respond to threats in real-time
Incident Response: Developing and implementing incident response plans to handle security incidents effectively. This includes identifying the source of the breach, containing it, mitigating the damage, and restoring normal operations
Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: Conducting regular assessments of the network's security posture, identifying vulnerabilities, and performing penetration tests to simulate attacks and discover weaknesses in the system
Security Policies and Procedures: Developing and maintaining network security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that employees and users are aware of security best practices and comply with security protocols
Firewall and Intrusion Detection/Prevention System (IDS/IPS) Management: Configuring, monitoring, and managing firewalls and IDS/IPS devices to protect the network from unauthorized access and malicious activities
Access Control and Identity Management: Overseeing access control mechanisms and identity management systems to ensure that only authorized personnel can access critical network resources and data
Security Awareness Training: Conducting security awareness training sessions for employees to educate them about cybersecurity risks, social engineering, and best practices for maintaining a secure working environment
Network Security Improvement: Continuously identifying areas of improvement in the network security infrastructure and recommending and implementing appropriate security measures
Security Auditing: Participating in security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the company's security controls and procedures
Stay Up-to-Date with Security Trends: Keeping abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to proactively protect the company's network from emerging risks
Bachelor degree in Computer Science
Three years of experience in network and network security
Security certification (e.g. CEH, CISSP, CompTIA security, CCNA Security) are a plus
