- Assist in conducting prenatal check-ups (blood pressure, fetal heart rate, fundal height measurement).
- Provide health education on nutrition, breastfeeding, and danger signs in pregnancy.
- Support midwives during normal vaginal deliveries under supervision.
- Provide support in monitoring labor progress and maternal/fetal vital signs.
- Assist in episiotomy care, newborn resuscitation, and immediate postpartum care.
- Help with postnatal assessments (uterine contraction, bleeding, vital signs).
- Educate mothers on newborn care, immunization, and family planning.
- Assist in breastfeeding support and neonatal examinations.
- Assist in emergency procedures under guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vaccinations, and patient histories.
- Follow infection prevention protocols (sterilization, safe delivery practices).
- Adhere to hospital policies and Afghan MoPH guidelines.
Education: Graduated from a recognized university or medical institute between 2020 and 2025 with a diploma or bachelor's degree in midwifery
Experience: Fresh Graduated with no work experience
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of normal deliveries and maternal care.
- Compassionate communication with women and families.
- Stamina for long shifts and ability to assist in labor positions.
- Fluency in Dari/Pashto; basic English for medical terms is beneficial.
- Rotational shifts (including nights and weekends).
