- Assist in collecting quotations, preparing bid analysis, and ensuring procurement documentation is complete and compliant.
- Support the logistics team in managing deliveries, verifying received goods, and updating inventory records.
- Help maintain and update supplier/vendor databases.
- Assist in processing purchase requests and preparing purchase orders.
- Participate in warehouse and asset management, including tagging and inventory tracking.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of procurement and logistics records.
- Coordinate with program and finance teams to align procurement activities with project needs and budget.
- Support logistics planning for field activities, including transport and accommodation arrangements
- Support the preparation and updating of purchase orders (POs) and other procurement documentation
- Participate in vendor communication, follow-up, and record keeping
- Aid in maintaining procurement and logistics databases and filing systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand material requirements and timelines
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education:
- Bachelor in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Interest in humanitarian/development work and NGO operations in Afghanistan.
- Basic knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; working knowledge of English is an asset.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure in challenging environments.
