- Plan and execute internal audit engagements under guidance from the Internal Audit Manager.
- Perform scoping, risk assessment, and work program development for audits across functional areas (e.g., finance, operations, IT, procurement, and compliance).
- Conduct fieldwork, including testing of controls, data analytics, walkthroughs, and substantive testing.
- Identify control deficiencies, control design weaknesses, and potential efficiency improvements, with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Document work papers, audit evidence, and findings in accordance with the department’s standards.
- Assist in preparing draft audit reports, issuing confirmation letters, and management responses.
- Track and follow up on the remediation of audit issues to ensure timely closure.
- Support continuous monitoring activities and assist in the development of risk-based audit plans.
- Collaborate with process owners and business partners to understand processes, risks, and controls.
- Review and assess IT general controls, application controls, access management, data privacy, and cybersecurity controls as part of IT audits.
- Participate in data analytics for audits, using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other audit analytics software.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., COSO, IIA Standards, ISO standards) and apply them to audit work.
- Assist in audits of regulatory compliance, anti-fraud measures, and ethical standards as required.
- Support the deputy auditors or managers in special projects or investigations as assigned.
- Prepare concise, well-supported audit summaries for the Audit Committee or senior management as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CIA, CISA, CPA, ACA, ACCA) is preferred or in progress.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO) and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience with IT audits and information security concepts is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel advanced functions, SQL, Access, Power BI) and audit software.
- Familiarity with auditing standards (IIA Standards) and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
- Knowledge of financial processes, governance, and risk management practices.
