duties

•            Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HMIS tools and systems across supported health facilities and projects.

•            Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of health data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting.

•            Monitor consistency between facility-level data and national HMIS indicators.

•            Conduct regular data verification and validation exercises.

•            Develop and implement performance monitoring plans (PMPs) aligned with project goals, donor requirements, and national standards.

•            Track performance indicators, service utilization trends, and program outcomes.

•            Support program teams in interpreting data and applying findings for decision-making and program improvement.

•            Lead on monthly/quarterly data review meetings at regional and national levels.

•            Provide training and mentorship to facility staff, M&E focal points, and program staff on HMIS tools, indicator definitions, data use, and reporting.

•            Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and user guides for data collection and use.

•            Compile and submit high-quality HMIS and performance reports for internal use and external stakeholders, including the Ministry of Public Health and donors.

•            Contribute to donor narrative reports with relevant analysis and success stories.

•            Ensure proper documentation and archiving of datasets and reports.

•            Represent the organization in MoPH HMIS technical working groups, data review forums, and health cluster M&E meetings.

•            Liaise with government counterparts, donors, and implementing partners to ensure harmonized reporting and system alignment.

•            Support the design or improvement of digital HMIS tools and dashboards (e.g., DHIS2, Kobo, Power BI, Comm Care).

Promote integration of HMIS with other program monitoring platforms.

qualification

Master’s degree in Statistics (or a related field).
Perfect knowledge of MoPH policies.
Ability to manage a high workload.
Good interpersonal skills, motivation for teamwork.
Good IT skills, comfortable with Word/Excel/Access.
10 years’ experience with health data management and analysis.
