- Risk Identification & Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks (financial, operational, compliance, and strategic) and maintain an updated risk register.
- Risk Management Framework: Develop and implement a robust risk management policy and framework aligned with Central Bank regulations and best practices. Set risk appetite and tolerance levels.
- Central Bank Reporting: Prepare and submit an annual risk management report to the Central Bank, addressing risk exposures, mitigation strategies, and compliance status. Respond to Central Bank inquiries promptly.
- Policy & Compliance: Design and update risk management policies, ensuring adherence to Central Bank guidelines, AML regulations, and other financial laws.
- Monitoring & Mitigation: Track key risk indicators (KRIs), conduct stress testing, and implement proactive risk mitigation measures.
- Training & Culture: Train staff on risk management practices and foster a risk-aware culture across departments.
- Leadership: Lead the risk management team, collaborate with Finance, Compliance, and IT, and provide updates to the CEO and Board.
- Crisis Management: Develop a business continuity plan and serve as the key contact during risk incidents or audits.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree or certifications like FRM, CRM, or CFA preferred).
- Experience: 5-7 years in risk management within financial services, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Expertise in risk assessment tools, data analysis, and reporting software.
- Strong knowledge of Central Bank requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Competencies: Analytical mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to work under tight deadlines with high ethical standards.
