Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive activities.
Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the mobile money ecosystem (P2P, airtime top-up, bill payments, merchant payments, remittances, and other digital financial services and Cash distribution projects).
Fulfilling the bid requirements and management, dealing with Quotation/Proposal submissions.
Establish business relations with clients over email, social networks, phone calls and physical visits.
Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, setting performance goals and monitoring results.
Establish and maintain relationships with banks, FinTech's, merchants, MNOs, regulators, and government agencies.
Negotiate commercial agreements and partnerships to expand mobile money services.
Coordinating meetings and presentations with clients and partners.
Preparing proposals and presentations for clients both AurumPay and Aurum MFI.
Lead engagement with key stakeholders to ensure compliance, sustainability, and market competitiveness.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that drive adoption and usage of mobile money services.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to identify growth opportunities.
Design and oversee initiatives for customer acquisition, merchant/agent onboarding, and market penetration.
Monitor the performance of mobile money services (transaction volumes, revenue, active users).
Support product innovation by working with technology and product teams to design and launch new financial services.
Drive efficiency in agent network management, liquidity management, and customer experience.
Coordinate with internal departments (marketing, operations, finance) to prepare bids, contracts, and client deliverables.
Prepare business development forecasts, budgets, and regular performance reports for senior management.
Track KPIs and ensure business objectives are achieved.
Participate and organizing business events, trade shows, and networking activities.
Any other tasks/ assignment to be provided by the line manager
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field (master’s preferred).
7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, with at least 3–5 years in mobile money, fintech, banking, or telecom.
Proven track record of developing partnerships and achieving revenue growth.
Computer Knowledge in MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Digital Payments Systems and outlook.
