Project Planning and Coordination:
- FTTH/FTTB project Manager Will develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation, to ensure successful FTTH/FTTB network deployments in all areas under taken by AfghanPAY in north east region.
- Direct activities of the communication’s division’s administration, technical, commercial and finance operation by scheduling and assigning work, determining methods for doing work, checking quality of work, answering questions, handling personnel issues, and monitoring workflow to ensure timely completion of activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory authorities including AfghanPAY contractor, Afghan Telecom company (AFTEL) to facilitate the smooth execution of fiber optic network projects.
- Function as focal point to AFTEL and all Telecommunication companies (MNOs).
- Will attend meetings in AFTEL and other regulatory entities concerning FTTH/FTTB project affairs.
Technical Design and Implementation:
- Oversee the technical design and engineering of FTTH/FTTB networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Work closely with the Technical and commercial Managers to insure communications, broadband, cable television/internet facilities are constructed & delivered correctly as well as efficiency by the construction crew.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Prepare long and short-term budgets and work plans to facilitate in implementation of company’s objectives. Monitor adherence to budgets and work plans to ensure goals are met.
- Manage project budgets, expenditures, day to day expenses and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective and efficient project delivery.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Establish quality control measures to guarantee the reliability and performance of FTTH/FTTB installations, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize network architecture for efficiency and scalability.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays during project execution.
- Communicate project progress, milestone achievements, and potential issues to CEO & managing Director on regular bases (daily, weekly, monthly…).
Stakeholder Communication:
- fostering strong relationships with clients, vendors, and governmental entities etc.
Documentation and Reporting;
- Maintain accurate project documentation, prepare detailed reports, and conduct post-project evaluations to optimize future project delivery processes.
- Perform & handle all aspects of FTTH/FTTB project affairs as well as, should perform other duties as assigned by CEO/ Managing Director.
Project Evaluation and Optimization:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and optimize future project delivery processes.
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Proven experience in project management, specifically in the deployment of fiber optic networks.
- Strong knowledge of FTTH/FTTB technologies, fiber deployment methodologies, and network architecture.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
