Financial & Liquidity Risk Analyst

duties

Financial Risk Management

  • Conduct financial risk assessments covering credit, liquidity, and market exposures.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, receivables, payables, and financial exposures related to shipping, auctions, and vendor activities.
  • Assess financial health of counterparties, auction partners, and service providers to minimize default risk.
  • Track foreign exchange exposures and market fluctuations impacting RAACTS’s business.


  • Liquidity & Stress Testing
  • Monitor liquidity ratios and funding positions.
  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis on liquidity and market shocks.
  • Ensure contingency funding and liquidity risk frameworks are in place.


Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure financial operations adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Implement dual controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting checks.
  • Support internal and external financial audits.


Reporting & Advisory

  • Prepare financial risk dashboards and reports for senior management and RCC Committee.
  • Recommend corrective actions for financial risk exposures.
  • Advise senior management on risk appetite for financial/market exposures.


Other Duties

  • Assist in staff awareness and training related to financial control risks
  • Any additional tasks assigned by the Risk & Compliance Manager


qualification

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial risk, treasury, or liquidity management.
  • Experience in shipping, trading, or banking environment desirable.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Knowledge of liquidity risk frameworks (Basel III principles is a plus).
  • Ability to interpret financial ratios and market trends.
  • Strong reporting and presentation abilities.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of financial risk and liquidity reports.
  • % of financial reconciliations completed on time.
  • Timeliness of stress testing and scenario reporting.
  • Reduction in financial errors, fraud, or liquidity breaches.
  • Effective implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
