Finance Officer

duties

1.        Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation.

2.        Process payments, receipts, and journal entries in accordance with company policies.

3.        Monitor cash flow, ensure adequate liquidity, and prepare daily/weekly cash position reports.

4.        Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

5.        Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including timely filing of tax and statutory payments.

6.        Prepare and reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.

7.        Support budget preparation, monitor variances, and provide financial analysis for management decisions.

8.        Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims to ensure accuracy and proper authorization.

9.        Coordinate with external auditors and provide required financial data during audits.

10.      Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collections and payments.

11.      Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure compliance with company internal control procedures.

12.      Provide financial insights to management on cost control, profitability, and efficiency improvement.

13.      Assist in implementing financial systems, tools, and procedures to improve operational effectiveness.

qualification

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (ACCA, CMA) is preferred.

 

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the construction or energy sector.

Proven track record of managing financial operations and supporting large-scale projects.

 

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in financial management software (QuickBooks, SAP).

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

 

Other Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
