Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
- Monitor and report on financial performance, including budget vs. actual analysis.
- Provide variance analysis and financial insights to assist management in decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure accurate budget allocation and expenditure monitoring across departments.
- Conduct financial projections and assist with long-term financial planning.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and other financial regulations.
- Monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Coordinate audits and assist with external auditors.
Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee the management of cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs.
- Monitor cash balances and manage bank accounts.
Financial Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant financial operations.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with relevant laws and internal policies.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Communicate financial performance and key issues to non-financial managers.
- Assist with preparing business plans, financial strategies, and funding proposals.
Advisory Role:
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support informed financial decision-making.
- Evaluate financial risks and opportunities and recommend strategies for improvement.
Team Management:
- Ensure effective collaboration within the finance department and other teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Certifications: CPA, CFA, or similar certification (preferred).
