Financial Management s Reporting
- Prepare and manage annual budgets in collaboration with senior management.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP).
- Analyze financial data and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Present financial reports and insights to management and the Board of Directors.
Accounting s Record Keeping
- Oversee daily accounting functions, including journal entries, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of all accounts including cash, bank, receivables, and payables.
Compliance s Audit
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial laws, and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies for audits, inspections, and financial reviews.
- Implement internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Treasury s Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and funding needs of the institution.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Oversee loan disbursements and collections accounting, ensuring accuracy in loan portfolio records.
Team Leadership s Capacity Building
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.
- Identify training needs and build team capacity to ensure a high-performing finance function.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Support
- Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis, forecasting, and risk assessments.
- Participate in business planning and resource allocation to ensure sustainability of the MFI.
- Support donor reporting and fund management for externally financed projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA are highly desirable.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within microfinance, banking, or financial services.
- Experience with financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, T24, or other MIS used in MFIs).
- Knowledge of microfinance operations, products, and regulatory environment is an advantage.

- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto is an asset.
