- Develop and implement a financial management system for the projects.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements based on the standards.
- Utilizing the QuickBooks system for record-keeping, data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Managing day-to-day accounting operations of the projects.
- Reconciling daily, monthly, and yearly receipts.
- Receipting and invoicing.
- Monthly and yearly tax preparation and follow-up.
- Generate and review financial reports from QuickBooks, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, payable and receivables, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports based on the requirements of the office
- Following instructions by the line manager and completing tasks assigned by the key management.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 4 years of professional experience in finance or accounting, preferably with NGOs.
- Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of donor financial reporting and procurement requirements.
- Proficiency in Pashto, Dari, and English (English proficiency is mandatory).
