• Conduct detailed field surveys for FTTH network routes (aerial and underground) using GPS and GIS tools.
• Prepare and update network layout drawings and as-built maps using AutoCAD and GIS platforms.
• Supervise civil and fiber construction works, including trenching, duct installation, hand holes, and pole mounting.
• Validate site conditions and ensure compliance with design drawings and project standards.
• Coordinate with the design team to provide redline updates, as-built corrections, and field modification reports.
• Support the FTTH design validation process, ensuring accurate fiber route and material usage.
• Maintain up-to-date GIS database for all fiber routes, hand holes, splitters, ODFs, and customer connections.
• Conduct technical quality checks for fiber laying, splicing, termination, and testing.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with field data, photos, and GIS references.
• Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve site-level issues.
• Support acceptance testing, documentation, and handover activities for completed FTTH segments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in related telecom infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with AutoCAD (2D/3D) and GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with FTTH architecture (GPON/XPON), fiber network components, and installation standards.
• Strong understanding of RCC, duct, and hand hole construction methods for underground networks.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills in English, Dari, and Pashto.
• Ability to work in the field under varied environmental conditions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with survey tools (mobile GIS applications).
• Familiarity with network design software (e.g., AutoCAD Map 3D).
• Knowledge of project management tools and quality assurance procedures.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations for field operations.
Deliverables
• Verified FTTH field survey reports with GIS coordinates and design validation.
• Accurate as-built drawings in AutoCAD and GIS format.
• Weekly and monthly progress reports summarizing work completed, challenges, and updates.
• Updated fiber route maps and asset inventory in GIS database.
Duration and Reporting
This position is full-time and field-based. The engineer will report directly to the FTTH Development Manager and work in coordination with the Design, Implementation, and NOC teams.

• Compliance with FTTH technical standards and safety procedures.
• Quality of coordination and reporting to project management.
