- Assisting with the examination and testing of patients’ vision, including visual acuity tests, color vision tests, and other screenings as needed.
- Supporting the preparation and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment.
- Recording and organizing patient data, including test results and medical history.
- Helping with patient guidance and support during eye treatments and diagnostic procedures.
- Assisting in the preparation of patients for ophthalmic surgeries and treatments.
- Observing and learning diagnostic techniques such as fundus photography, tonometry, and other ophthalmic procedures.
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry, Ophthalmology Technology, or related field. (Male graduates of 2024; female graduates from 2020 onward)
Experience:
- Fresh Graduate with no experience
Skills:
- Fluency in Pashto Dari English
- Good Computer Skills
- Good Communication Skills
The duty station of the intern will be the host entity (Al- Hayat Hospital) and the salary will be paid by Islamic Relief Worldwide- Afghanistan (IRW- A) based on agreement.
