duties

Accountabilities:

-           Schedules and organizes all EPI related activities, its organization design and sizing as well as its associated budget in order to efficiently maintain the continuity of the immunization healthcare at the standard quality levels.

-           The EPI Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, supervision and following up EPI activities.

-           He technically supports implementation of National EPI policy based on the MoPH and BPHS in Kunduz province

-           he is also responsible to organize, supervise, monitor and support vaccinator’s activities and action plan in fixed centers and MHNT as well as, he is responsible to support implementation and monitoring of Supplementary Immunization Activities (SIAs) in close coordination with PEMT/ REMT

-           Conduct field visits to HFs at least 4 days per week across delegated HF.

-           he is responsible for supervision of vaccine stock and its monitoring at the HF level, including the availability of vaccines as per MoPH National EPI Policy, as well as he is responsible for tracking vaccine storage conditions (including during outreach).


Context Specific Accountabilities:

-           Conduct supportive supervision visits using MAGAN’s “activity supervision tools”, provide on-the-job trainings on identified technical gaps and prepare supervision report with action plans together with relevant specialist and POs. Ensure action plan is shared and followed by HF in-charge.

-           Prepare micro plan for all EPI teams and maintain continues follow up of its implementation.

-           Set up the monthly, quarterly and annually target for all health facilities.

-           Ensure the availability and implementation of the EPI monthly outreach plan and tracing of defaulter cases.

-           Strengthen collection, analysis, use of EPI data and provide monthly feedback to all vaccinators.

-           Participate EPI sub-committee and other relevant meeting at provincial level, including annual provincial micro-planning meetings organized by REMT.

-           Maintain record of EPI team’s property/equipment (inventory) with in the HFs and project office

-           Identify and report immediately the outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases.

-           Facilitate/ co-facilitate health specialist and Sn. Capacity building trainer on technical trainings on EPI topics. Preparation of demands/ request for vaccines supply and other EPI related activities.

-           Ensure the availability of up-to-date EPI guidelines in all health facilities.

-           Ensure the availability of vaccine monitoring (Thermometer, freeze tag) tools are available and functional in all health facilities.

-           Ensure the availability and proper use of all reporting and data collection tools in all health facilities.

-           Develop a monthly action plan for the improvement of the gaps observed in the HFs in coordination with the Health team/supervisor and provide on-the-job to vaccinators as per need

-           Ensuring the cold chain is maintained during transportation as well as in the HFs

-           Design the charts and table to set up the follow up of targets and indicators.

-           Conducting periodical meetings with the health supervisors and participate in the health facility directors meeting

-           Ensure the Preparation of vaccine defaulter list and follow up of the list with HF vaccinators, community health worker, CHS as well with the CNT team.

qualification

Education:

Graduate of recognized medical college (MD)


Experience:

1 years of relevant experience or certified graduated Nurse with 3 years of relevant experiences.

Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken

Good communication skill and team working capacity.

Willingness to travel to MAGNA’s interventions area.

Knowledge of BPHS and EPHS.

Good computer skill of MS Office, MS excel and MS power point.

Strong interpersonal skills
