1. Power Source Management
Operate, monitor, and maintain solar systems to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure diesel generators (DG) are regularly serviced, tested, and available for backup.
Supervise and monitor city power connections, including outage handling and switching.
2. Power Backup Systems
Maintain and monitor Smart UPS systems to ensure continuous power during transitions.
Perform routine inspections and testing of backup batteries, including timely replacement.
Ensure seamless and safe switching between primary and backup power sources.
3. Facility Management (NOC & OLT Rooms)
Ensure proper power distribution and organized cabling for all network equipment.
Monitor room temperature, ventilation, and humidity levels to protect sensitive equipment.
Support the implementation of fire safety and protection systems.
4. Emergency Response
Respond promptly to power outages and technical failures.
Ensure immediate activation of DG or solar backup when city power is unavailable.
Work with the NOC team to minimize service disruptions.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain logs of power usage, outages, and corrective actions.
Report all critical issues to the Technical Manager in a timely manner.
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth and reliable network operations.
Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering / Power Technology (minimum requirement).
At least 3 years of proven experience with solar, DG, UPS, and power backup systems.
Strong knowledge of telecom facility power requirements (NOC, OLT).
Ability to manage emergency situations under pressure.
Good communication and reporting skills.
