- Supervise and oversee on-site installation of solar PV systems, including inverters, batteries, distribution boards, grounding, cabling/wiring, and lightning protection.
- Review and validate implementation against approved designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Inspect electrical equipment and materials delivered to the site to ensure quality and compliance.
- Monitor technical team activities and enforce compliance with health, safety, social, and environmental safeguards.
- Conduct site tests and participate in commissioning activities, ensuring operational performance.
- Ensure all electrical installations are properly labelled, documented, and integrated into system manuals.
- Prepare daily logs, inspection notes, and technical progress reports for submission to the Project Coordinator.
- Coordinate with the Civil Engineer to ensure civil structures properly support electrical installations.
- Provide on-site training and guidance to technicians and local operators on safe system use and maintenance.
- Report risks, technical issues, or incidents promptly to the Project Coordinator, with recommendations for resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical works, preferably in renewable/solar PV energy or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and protection devices.
- Familiarity with international and national electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).
- Proven experience in supervising contractors and technicians on site.
- Good understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under challenging field conditions and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
