Site Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise all civil works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate with the Site Manager, Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, and QC Engineers for smooth project execution.
- Manage daily manpower, materials, and equipment on-site.
Technical Execution
- Oversee excavation, foundations, concrete, trenching, drainage, fencing, roads, and building works.
- Ensure civil works meet engineering standards, Afghan construction norms, and HSE requirements.
- Verify workmanship and ensure activities are performed according to QA/QC procedures.
Design & Documentation
- Review drawings, BoQs, and technical specifications before implementation.
- Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.
- Support QC in civil inspections, material testing, and documentation of results.
Quality Assurance & Progress Control
- Implement QA/QC plans for all civil activities to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Monitor project progress, material consumption, and workmanship quality.
- Track work completion against schedule using MS Project or Primavera.
- Identify and resolve technical or quality issues promptly.
Testing & Handover
- Assist in testing, inspection, and commissioning of completed civil works.
- Prepare QA/QC documentation, checklists, and final reports for client handover.
Team Management
- Supervise local workers, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Provide technical guidance and on-site training to laborers and junior staff.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Additional certifications or training in Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or HSE will be an advantage.
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably on solar power plants, warehouse construction or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in site supervision, layout setting, foundation works, and construction structural installations.
- Previous work experience with EPC contractors, international NGOs, or government infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with rural and semi-urban construction environments and renewable energy projects preferred.
Languages
- Fluency in Dari and Pashto (spoken and written).
- Working knowledge of English (spoken and written) required.
Other Requirements
- Must be an Afghan national (male, as per current field requirements).
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites, including remote or harsh environments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
